Camp Sawi

Viva Films is bringing to you the ultimate hugot film of the year "Camp Sawi", starring Andi Eigenmann, Arci Munoz, Bela Padilla, Kim Molina, and Yassi Pressman will be the five Sawi girls that will go on retreat in a camp that is headed by Sam Milby, written and directed by Irene Villamor showing this August

Update: August 24, 2016

Review:

Camp Sawi 9/10:

The movie revolves around five main guests in the camp and of course the Camp Master(Sam Milby).  Starting off the 5 guests with Bridgette(Bela Padilla) a striving bank teller that got her heart broken after she was dumped by his boyfriend for 10 years, arriving at the Camp Sawi she first met Jessica(Yassi Pressman) the youngest in the camp she got sawi after her boyfriend joined the #LoveWins bandwagon, then after that she met Clarisse(Andi Eigenmann) a fellow sawi who's hiding a dark secret about her life, next is of course Gwen(Arci Munoz) the outgoing happy go lucky rocker chic that as dumped by her boyfriend in a not so good way, and finally not but definitely not the least Joanna(Kim Molina) Her character has the best love story not until tragedy visits it.

Pros?

The movie was very light and funny this one is a bit different to the usual Hugot movies that we saw before that is usually heavy specially in the conflict stage, this movie I can say will really teach you how to move on, how to find closure to relationships that were left open ended and hanging.

I love how the story flowed in the movie, smooth, but with "Kurot" the type that will make you realize that you somehow get to relate with the five characters, I also loved how Direk Irene and Direk Joyce created the back stories of each sawi, putting on some twists and turns in the story that you have to watch out for in the movie.

The song choices were really good, I love how the songs put drama on every scene specially on the scene were the girls partied wild at the beach after they resolved a conflict. The Camera Angles used i in the movie gave justice to the very beautiful island of Bantayan in Cebu plus the very beautiful lead actresses complemented the beautiful location.

In terms of acting hands down Bela Padilla and Arci Munoz nailed this one, drama or comedy every scene will either make you cry or make you laugh so hard, they're the Yin and Yang of the movie they are the exact opposite characters that was perfectly jelled in the movie.

Cons?

Since there are six main protagonist in the movie there are some characters that didn't shine in the movie specially the role of Andi Eigenmann, her role was very beautiful her acting was really great, the only problem is that I find her character to be to hidden in the movie.

Another one is Yassi, her character as the Young Wild and Free Jessica was cut short for some obvious reasons, though I love how they did the twist with the character of Andi and Yassi this one really deceived me.

All in all the movie was beautifully crafted and created, this is so far the best movie from Viva Films this year and I bet your 250 pesos will not go to waste watching this movie.
