For the first time ABSCBN's online music portal Onemusic.ph will feature four artist in their digital concert series, promising young artists Sue Ramirez, Kristel Fulgar, Loisa Andalio, and Maris Racal are gearing up for this landmark moment in their careers, as they are set to perform for a digital concert called "Double Hearts", which will be streamed live online on onemusic.ph this Sunday, October 2 at 5pm.





#NCAA92 Day 36: Perpetual Help Force A Winner take All, Arellano Barge Into The Finals.


The Perpetual Help Altas scored a big win over the league leading San Beda Red Lions after they beat them 87-83, to force a winner takes all match this Tuesday, 3:45pm at the San Juan Arena. 

The Perpetual Help opened the game with a bang, stunning the Red Lions with a 21-9 first quarter output, San Beda though were able to recover fast to stop the Altas from dominating them, the Red Lions were able to cut the lead of Perpetual down to 5, to finish the first half still down 36-41. 

In the second half San Beda continues to knock off the lead of the Altas and try to staged a comeback as they finally take over the lead at 62-60. The game heats up entering the final period as both squad were eager to take a shot back at each other, entering the last minute of the game still tied at 83, Gab Dagangon puts up a jumper to put Perpetual up 85-83 with 23 seconds left.

San Beda could've extended the game, but they opted for a three point play, but Acee Soberano missed the three, securing the win for the Altas. 

Gab Dagangon led the Altas in their first win in the final four, having 27 points. Meanwhile Robert Bolicks best game was foiled, scoring 21 points for the Red Lions.

The Arellano Chiefs easily takes the first ticket to the finals after trouncing the Mapua Cardinals 92-80. 

The Chiefs jumps early on the driver seat taking an early 27-18 lead in the opening period, going to the second period Arellano continues to give the cardinals a rough trip as they keep control of the game taking a 49-42 lead at the end of the second stop. 

Entering the third period the Chiefs were consistent in keeping Mapua distant, as they were able to balloon their lead up 69-57 at the end of the third. In the final period the Cardinals were able to cut the lead of Arellano down 67-76, but the Chiefs were eager to take the victory , pushing Mapua back down. 

Jiovani Jalalon and Lervin Flores partnered for the Chiefs combining 44 points, while Allwell Oraeme's monster double-double 20 points and 24 rebounds went to nothing as Mapua bows out of the season.

#NCAA92 Juniors: 9/30/16 (Final Four)


The Arellano Braves saved themselves from doom after they endured a 17 point deficit to force a winner take all rubber match on Tuesday after they beat the San Beda Red Cubs 89-84.

The Red Cubs were so eager to get back into the finals, showing their might early in the game as they take a 25-18 lead over the Braves, going to the second period, San Beda continues to dominate Arellano as they extend their lead up 49-37 to end the first half.

But going to the second half of the game, the Red Cubs looked like they drained their enthusiasm in the first half as they struggled to put up baskets, paving the way for the Braves to take over the game.

Arellano was able to trim the deficit of San Beda down to 4. to end the third at 60-64, entering the final period the Braves continues to punish the now lackluster Red Cubs, outscoring them 29-20 to take the victory and finally ended their five game losing streak.

Five Braves scored in double digit, wherein two scored in double-double. Aaron Fermin had 15 points and 13 rebounds, Carlo Abadeza had 14 points and 11 rebounds. Meanwhile, Lars Sunga, Guilmer Dela Torre, and Jayson Danas had 16, 15, and 10 points respectively.

On the side of the Red Cubs, Sam Abuhijleh's 15 points and 25 rebounds went to waste as they failed to barged in easily to the finals, Prince Etrata and Robi Nayve added 15 points each as well.

The rubber match will be on Tuesday.

In the second game, the Malayan Red Robins trounced LSGH Greenies 88-81 to get the first ticket to the finals. It was a tight match between the two squads, taking turns in getting the lead.

The Greenies were able to take the opening quarter with a slim 23-21 lead, though the Red Robiins were able to snatch the lead back tot heir side after outscoring the LSGH 17-14 to end the first half with a slight 38-37 advantage.

In the third period both squads exchanges basket, finishing the third period tied at 63.   Entering the final period, the Red Robins started to pull away, taking an early 70-63 lead. The Red Robins were able to maintain their lead to seal their finals ticket.

Will Gozum led the scoring for the Red Robins with 16 points, Romuel Junsay and Juaquin Garcia added 12 points, Brian Lacap and Michael Enriquez had 11 pointds each, while Bryan Samudio had 10 points and 17 rebounds.

Troy Mallillin had a double-double to end his season, having 16 points and 22 rebounds. Unique Naboa and Haribon Espinosa added 17 and 16 points, Joel Cagulangan wrapped it off with 10 points.  

Shakey's V League Season 13: Reinforced



After two successful conferences this year, the country’s pioneering volleyball league Shakey’s V-League (SVL) is back to bring exciting volleyball action to Filipino sports fans with its Reinforced Conference starting this Saturday (October 1) on ABS-CBN Sports + Action (S+A) and ABS-CBN Sports + Action HD (S + A HD).

Gunning for the championship in the last conference of SVL Season 13, which will feature international players as guest players, are 2016 SVL Open Conference champion Pocari Sweat Lady Warriors, Bureau of Customs (BOC) Transformers, Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Lady Dolphins, Laoag Power Smashers, Philippine Air Force (PAF) Jet Spikers, UP Lady Maroons, UST Golden Tigresses, and Bali Pure Water Defenders.
Players to watch out for include volleyball phenom Alyssa Valdez, who won in this conference last year, and is now representing the BOC, 2016 SVL Open Conference MVP Grethcel Soltones for Laoag, veteran Joy Cases for PAF, Kamille Ogane for PCG, Isa Molde for UP, and Cherry Rondina for UST. Meanwhile, former SVL MVP Suzanne Roces joins Bali Pure’s all-star Ateneo line-up while Pocari Sweat will still be headlined by Michele Gumabao and Myla Pablo.





The international delegation, on the other hand, is bannered by the likes of Thai nationals Kanjana Kuthasong and Nathanicha Jaisen of Customs, Kaylee Manns and Katharine Morrell of Bali Pure, Andrea Kacsits and Breanna Mackie of Pocari Sweat, and Sirintra Mhoobin and Paweenut Rueangrum for UP. Some of the players and their coaches were presented to the media in a press conference held September 30 at the Restaurant 9501 in the ABS-CBN compound.

ABS-CBN Integrated Sports head Dino Laurena said that with foreign guest players, viewers can expect a different volleyball experience in the Reinforced Conference.

SVL, which began in 2004, is deemed as the country’s premier volleyball league and credited for helping popularize the sport of volleyball in the Philippines. From an invitational tournament featuring top UAAP and NCAA schools, it has evolved as the premier stomping grounds of past collegiate stars and budding superstars in recent years.


Don’t miss out on the opening day of the Reinforced Open Conference of the Shakey’s V-League 13 on Saturday (October 1) featuring Air Force vs. UST LIVE at 6pm on S+A. The 4pm match, between Coast Guard and Laoag will air at 8pm.

SVL 13 Reinforced Conference matches will air live every Monday on both S+A and S+A HD. For Wednesday and Saturday, the second games air live at 6pm on both channels, while the 4pm game airs at 8pm on S+A, and the following day on S+A HD. Catharsis

International singing sensation Charice celebrates her 10th year in showbiz with a new album entitled "Catharsis", the album contain songs that she wrote herself.



The new album marks the transition of Charice, leaving the "pop" music behind and now she will be using her powerful vocals into rock music. 



The tracklist includes "Epitome of Beauty", which she already released as the carrier single. The song is dedicated to her girlfriend and to people who are in love and are willing to fall in love.



Other songs in her album include "How Much I Love You", "Keep U Forever", "Let Me Love You", "Haunt", "Killing Myself to Sleep", "Happy", "Pwede Namang Iba Na Lang". There are bonus tracks as well "Kulang Ang Oras", an acoustic version of "Epitome of Beauty", and the intro called "I Am Always Watching You".



"Catharsis" is produced by Charice and Monty Macalino, streaming on spotify begins Spetember 30. The album will be sold nationwide this October for Php 299.
