Maris Racal can't get over with the Vivo V7+


Newest Vivo influencer Maris Racal has sure gone a long way from her first TV stint as one of the teen housemates of Pinoy Big Brother All In where she eventually placed second to theseason’s Big Winner Daniel Matsunaga. Known for her sweet singing voice earning her the title “Singing Sunshine ng Davao”, Maris or Mariestella in real life grew up in a musically-inclined family and is also part of a sing-and-dance all-girl group in home network ABS-CBN.

#UAAP80 Day 23: La Salle unleashes 35 point wrath over UST, Adamson soared high over NU

 
 
The DLSU Green Archers sets another record high 35 point win margin this season after they beat down the hapless UST Tigers 94-59.
 
Ben Mbala led the pack with 17 points, followed by Ricci Rivero with 16 points, Jolo Go added 12 points, and finally Prince Rivero gives out 10 markers for La Salle in this game.
 
Marvin Lee almost scored half of UST's output in this game after pouring in 25 big points, Steve Akomo helped him out providing 14 points and 10 rebounds.

The Adamson Falcons beats down the NU Bulldogs easily after an 90-77 match to solidify their hold on the third spot.
 
Jerrick Ahanmisi and Jonathan Espeleta both scored 16 points for the Falcons, while Papi Sarr and Rob Manalang both added 14 points in this game.

#UAAP80 Day 22: Desiderio’s Triple Sends Tamaraws On The Verge of Missing The Final Four, Ateneo Dismatles UE to Keep Clean Record



A dagger triple of Paul Desiderio sends FEU in peril after they loses their 6th game 56-59, UP now ties their record with the Tamaraws at 5-6.

Paul Desiderio had 15 points to top the scoring for the Maroons, Ibrahim Quattara 10 points and 15 rebounds.

Jasper Parker led the struggling Tamaraws with 13 markers, Arvin Tolentino added 12 points.

Both teams are in a must win situation to secure the the last spot.

Thirdy Ravena poured in 17 points, while Jolo Mendoza had 13 points, Raffy Verano and Vince Tolentino both added 12 points for the Blue Shirts.

Mark Maloles this time led the Reds with 20 points followed by Mark Olayon with 15 points.

#NCAA93 Day 42: San Sebastian continues golden run after diffusing JRU in the step ladder


The fourth seed San Sebastian Golden Stags kept their campaign on a roll after upsetting the third seed JRU Heavy Bombers 85-73 to advance in the step ladder to face the twice to beat San Beda Red Lions.
 
Reggielie Ilagan came up big for the Stags after he poured in 21 much needed points in this win, Michael Calisaan and Allyn Bulanadi both added 13 points in this match, while Jayson David contributed 10 markers for San Sebastian.
 
On the side of the Heavy Bombers, Jed Mendoza had 20 points to top the scoring, followed by Teytey Teodoro with 12 points, while Mark Dela Virgen and Ervin Grospe both had 11 points for JRU.
 
The battle between San Sebastian and San Beda will be on November 7 as the league will go on a break to give way for #Undas2017.

Miss Grand Philippines Elizabeth Clenci clinched the second runner up plum in the Miss Grand International 2017 held in Phuo Quoc, Vietnam, hosted by Nicole Cordoves and Xian Lim.

The DLSU Green Archers puts an end to UE's hot streak after they drowned them 99-78.

Ben Mbala had his usual numbers at 25 points and 14 rebounds followed by Leonard Santillan with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Ricci Rivero and Justine Baltazar both added 13 points for the Green Archers as they enter the final four.

Alvin Pasaol and Mark Olayon teamed up again with 23 points and 18 points respectively though the results were contrasting.

#NCAA93 Day 41: San Sebastian seals off Final Four return after a tight match against Letran


The San Sebastian Stags stays golden as they sealed off their spot in the final four after a grueling and tight match against the Letran Knights that ended at 74-69.

Michael Calisaan exploded a career high 36 points and 10 rebounds to bring the Golden Stags back in the final four, Ryan Costelo added 13 markers for San Sebastian as they face off with JRU next week.

On the side of the Knights, Jeremiah Taladua top scored for them with 16 points, while Bong Quinto had 15 points and 11 rebounds, meanwhile JP Calvo and Rey Nambatac added 11 points each to end their season.

#UAAP80 Day 20: NU kept UST struggling at 0-10, UE downs UP.


The NU Bulldogs prolongs UST's agony this season after sending them down 91-83.

Matt Salem led the Bulldogs with his career high 22 points and 10 rebounds, he is followed by Issa Gaye with 22 points as well. Jjay Alejandro and Nico Abatayo both added 10 points for NU.

On the side of UST, Steve Akomo led his team with 16 points and 12 rebounds, Marvin Lee and Wendell De Guzman added 15 and 14 points, while Enrique Caunan contributed 11 points.

#UAAP80 Day 19: Green Archers shoots down gritty Falcons, Ateneo kept record clean after destroyng FEU in the final period.



The DLSU Green Archers strengthen their hold to the second spot after they shoot down the gritty Adamson Falcons 80-74.

Santi Santillan rose for the Greens after scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds, meanwhile the usuals Ben Mbala and Ricci Rivero delivered 15 points with 17 rebounds and 17 points respectively.

Jerrick Ahanmisi and Papi Sarr both had 17 points with Sarr having 12 rebounds for Adamson.

The FEU Tamaraws let the game against Ateneo slip away after their sloppy 9 point final period performance that gave a 70-59 win for the Blue Eagles.

The Tamaraws were in control of the game from the opening quarter up to the third period, but everything changed entering the final period after they were outperformed by Ateneo with a 9-23 point output.

Matt Nieto and Raffy Verano both had 14 points for Ateneo as they go 10-0 in the elimation round.

Ron Dennison on the other hand led the Tamaraws with 12 points, FEU's chances of entering the final four is dimming down after they get their 5th loss after 10 games. Meanwhile, former Blue Eagles and now FEU stalwarts Arvin Tolentino had 11 points with 11 rebounds and Hubert Cani added 10 markers.

#NCAA93 Day 40: Letran eliminates Arellano sets up do or die against San Sebastian.


The Letran Knights lived another day after they ended Arellano's season 93 campaign after they outlasted them in their do or die game that ended at 70-68.

The Knights were able to start the match with a 24-16 advantage in the opening period, but the Chiefs were able to closed in at 36-38 to end the first half.

Going to the second period Letran still kept their distance from Arellano after the third with a 54-49 lead.

The game heats up as they went to the final period with the Chiefs snatching the lead at 68-67 after a freethrow made by Rence Alcoriza, bur Jeo Ambohot was able to made a put back basket to give the lead back to  Knights at 69-68 with 0:05 remaining in the match.

Rey Nambatac proved to his doubters that he can carry Letran to victory after he poured in 25 big points, JP Calvo added 11 points for the Knights before they face the San Sebastian Stags on Monday.

Levi Dela Cruz delivers another stellar performance for the Chiefs with 18 points though it wasn't enough to give Arellano the chance to return in the final four, Rence Alcoriza had 16 points while Michael Canete added 12 markers.

#NCAA93 Day 39: San Sebastian forces a three way tie at number 4, Lyceum sweeps the season at 18-0.



The San Sebastian Golden Stags forces a three way tie for the last seat in the final four after they dominated the Perpetual Help Altas 80-60.

San Sebastian’s Michael Calisaan along with Regille Ilagan had 21 points with 10 rebounds and 23 points respectively. The Golden Stags was able to finish the elimination round with 9-9 record with 30+ average giving them an edge over Letran and Arellano in the playoff ranking.

Meanwhile GJ Ylagan had 16 points to lead the Altas in their last game for season 93, Prince Eze added 12 points and 10 rebounds, Flash Sadiwa added 11 points, while Jeff Coronel had 10 markers.

In the final match of the elimination round, the Lyceum of the Philippines University Pirates breaks off records in the NCAA, barging in to the finals after sweeping the elimination round at 18-0 after beating the San Beda Red Lions 107-105 after a grueling double overtime game.

Mike Nzeusseu came up big for the Pirates with 27 points and 20 rebounds, CJ Perez meanwhile added 20 points for Lyceum in this sweep.

Donald Tankoua’s career best of 34 points and 13 rebounds wasn’t able to give San Beda the upset ax they needed to stop the sturdy Pirates, Javee Mocon added another double-double after producing 14 points and 14 rebounds, meanwhile Robert Bolick and Clint Doliguez added 16 and 13 points respectively for the Red Lions as they go down 16-2.

The Semifinals of the Men’s Basketball tournament of the 93rd season of the NCAA will be long as it will begin with the Letran vs Arellano playoff match wherein the winner will face San Sebastian for the final slot in the final four, after that the winner of the battle for fourth will face JRU and then the winner of that match will face the twice to beat San Beda, and lastly the winner of the #3 vs #2 will face the thrice to beat Lyceum in the finals.

That will be a long semifinals full of knockout matches, every game counts, this will be interesting and tight.

#UAAP80 Day 18: Adamson halt streaking Red Warriors, Ateneo keep record clean.



The Adamson Soaring Falcons keep their hold of the third spot after they beat down the streaking UE Red Warriors 66-57.

Jerick Ahanmisi topped the scoring with 14 points, but Pape Sarr showed off a 12 points and 15 rebound performance for the Soaring Falcons.

Alvin Pasaol on the other carried the Red Warriors again with his 22 points and 12 rebound outing, Mark Olayon added 16 points.

The Ateneo Blue Eagles showed they are this season’s championship contender after they frustrate the NU Bulldogs with their smart tactics that finished the game at 85-72.

Thirdy Ravena led the Blue Eagles with 15 points, while Matt Nieto and Jolo Mendoza had 10 points each.

Jjay Alejandro top scored in this game with 22 points for NU, Anton Joson added 10 points.

#NCAA93 Day 38: Arellano keeps final four bid after disposing Mapua, EAC ends season with a win over Perpetual Help, Letran forces tie in the fourth spot.

 
The Arellano Chiefs kept their final four hopes alive after they defeated the Mapua Cardinals 81-64 to end the elimination round at 9-9, the Chiefs will wait for the results of the final games of San Sebastian and Letran.
The Chiefs showed their dominance and control over the Cardinals the whole game, finishing the opening period with a 17-13 lead and pushing it up to a 39-28 advantage at the end of the first half. The Cardinals were able to fight back at the start of the second half, but Arellano was able to push their lead up by 21 points to keep the Cardinals down and clinch the first spot in the playoffs for the fourth spot.
Levi Dela Cruz comes up big after he scored his career high 29 points to lead the Chiefs in this win, Lervin Flores and Zach Nicholls added 14 and 11 points.
Christian Bunag led the Cardinals with 22 points. Mapua ends the season at the bottom of the standings with a 3-11 record.
 
Though they were already out of contention the EAC Generals were able to finish their campaign on a high note after sending the Perpetual Help Altas down 83-81.
Jerome Garcia led the Generals with 22 points followed by Jethro Mendoza with 17 points, Sidney Onwubere with 15 points, and Rustan Bugarin with 12 points. EAC finished at 7th place with 7-11 record.
Prince Eze topped the scoring for the Altas with 21 points, GJ Ylagan added 17 points, Jon Yuhico had 13 markers, and Jeff Coronel added 10 points. Perpetual Help finished the season at 9th place with a 4-14 record.
The Letran Knights survived the gritty CSB Blazers 66-60 to enter the play offs for the fourth spot with a 9-9 record.
Rey Nambatac saved the Knights with 18 points, JP Calvo supported him with 16 points, while Jerrick Ballanza added 13 points and finally Jeo Ambohot had 10 points and 13 rebounds.
Clement Leutcheu’s 18 points and 18 rebounds didn’t put CSB on the winning column in their last game, Eric Pili added 16 markers for the Blazers as they finish their season 93 campaign at 8th place with 4-14 record.

And now, our newest BES is part of this years' Himig Handog 2017, the good looking heartthrob-musician's song entitled "Bes" composed by Eric De Leon is set to make waves in the competition with its millennial vibe, edgy beat, and catchy lyrics for sure this is one of the songs that will make a mark in the competition.

#UAAP80 Day 17: Hot shooting Tamaraws send UST to 0-9, La Salle avenges first round loss against UP in a dominant fashion.



The Far Eastern University Tamaraws went on a shooting spree against the UST Growling Tigers in their match that ended at 96-70.

The Tamaraws went off to a hot start after taking a 29-16 opening quarter output and they even pushed their lead up 53-27 at the end of the first half. 

In the third period FEU pushed their lead as high as 36 points to keep the Tigers in a far distance to secure the win. 

The bench players of FEU almost outscored the whole UST squad after scoring 62 bench points the whole game. 

Kenneth Tuffin led the Tamaraws with 14 points, while returning Arvin Tolentino added 13 points and Jasper Parker had 10 markers in this game as FEU goes up 5-4. 

Wendell De Guzman and Jeepy Faundo teamed up for UST as they gave away double-double Faundo had 17 points and 13 rebounds, while De Guzman had 17 points and 10 rebounds. Enrique Caunan added 12 points for UST as they go 0-9.

The DLSU Green Archers showed the UP Fighting Maroons how they avenges a lost game after they dominated them in their game that ended up at 85-62.

Ben Mbala had another beast mode performance after having 27 points and 14 rebounds, Ricci Rivero added 20 points, while Kib Montalbo added 12 points for La Salle in this game.

Jun Manzo was the lone double digit scorer for UP in this game, having 13 points.

#UAAP80 Day 16: UE stuns Bulldogs for second win, Ateneo downs Soaring Falcons


The ravaging UE Red Warriors destroyed the NU Bulldogs 90-77 to get their second win this season.

The Red Warriors were in it to win the game after they take an early 21-15 lead in the opening quarter and pushed it to 45-36 lead at the end of the first half. Though going to the second half the Bulldogs were able to close in at 62-59, but like a bomb UE exploded in the final period after a 28-18 final quarter output.

Mark Olayon led UE again in this game after producing 17 points, while Issa Gaye had 20 points and 13 rebounds for NU.

The Ateneo Blue Eagles remains unbeaten after they down the Adamson Falcons 71-59.

Thirdy Ravena led the Blue Eagles with 15 points, while Pape Sarr led the Falcons with 15 points as well.

#NCAA93 Day 37:San Sebastian Keeps Final Four Seat Occupied, San Beda eliminates arch rivals Letran in the final four, Lyceum goes 17-0


The San Sebastian Golden Stags retains their hold of the fourth spot of the final four after beating the Mapua Cardinals 97-70.

The Stags went on an explosive 31-20 opening quarter performance against Mapua that gave them the advantage throughout the game, they even had a 28 point lead at one point in the game the left the Cardinals chasing down.

Jayson David stood out for the Stags producing his best performance in the season after giving 24 points. Alfren Gayosa added 18 points and Alvin Capobres had 17 for San Sebastian.

Christian Bunag's 13 points and 16 rebounds, Cedric Pelayo's 16 points, and Almel Orquina's 15 points weren't enough to give Mapua the win.

The San Beda Red Lions turned back their archrivals Letran Knight 73-68 to extend their winning and put up a 16-1 record before facing the undefeated Lyceum Pirates.

The Red Lions were able to make a comeback late in the final period after the Knights took over late in third period, they almost lost the ball game but they were saved by their late run in the final ticks of the clock.

Donald Tankoua had 15 points followed by Robert Bolick and Clavin Oftana who both added 13 points each for San Beda.

Bong Quinto led the Knights with 18 points and 10 rebounds, Jerrick Ballanza added 16 points, and JP Calvo contributed 12 markers.

The Lyceum Pirates extends their winning streak to 17-0 after dominating the #3 seed JRU Heavy Bombers 100-63.

Lyceum proved to be merciless after they took control of the game from start to finish not letting JRU come any closer after they build up a huge 37 point wall in this game to keep them away.

CJ Perez topped all the scorers from Lyceum after having 24 points, Lloyd Castor on the side of JRU had his best game so far with 12 points.

Miss World Philippines winners signs up with Regal Films

The newly crowned queens of Miss World Philippines 2017 led by Laura Lehmann has signed their respective movie contracts with Regal Films, the movie contract is part of their prizes in the pageant.




Aside from Miss World Philippines 2017 Laura Lehmann, Reina HispanoAmericana-Filipinas Teresita Ssen "Wynwyn" Marquez, Miss Multinational- Philippines Sophia Seneron, Miss Eco-Philippines Cynthia Thomalla, and the 2nd and 1st Princess Zara Carbonell and Glyssa Perez also signed their contracts with Regal Films under the management of Mr. Arnold Vegafria's  ALV Talent Management.

Mother Lily Monteverde expressed that she wanted to make a "Palibhasa Babae" movie that will feature the 7 girls. Though Maam Roselle Monteverde said that their movies will start right after their respective pageants.

The Arellano Chiefs stays in the final four hunt after they dispactched the Perpetual Help Altas 62-52.
 
Eventhough the Altas were able to take a 17-14 advantage over Arellano still the Chiefs were able to get through their slow start to finish off the game on a high note putting up a 20 point wall to keep the altas away from the win.
 
Lervin Flores led the Chiefs with 19 points, Rence Alcoriza added 16 points, while Levi Dela Cruz had 11 points.
 
Jeff Coronel topped the scoring for Perpetual with 14 points, Prince Eze had 11 points and 22 rebounds, while Kervin Lucente added 10 points.

The College of Saint Benilde Blazers ends the final four campaign of the EAC Generals after a 92-82 overtime game.
 
Clement Leutcheu came up big for the Blazers after a 24 point and 14 rebound performance, adding to that is Edward Dixson who had his best game so far after he poured in 19 points and 11 rebounds.
 
Jesse Mendoza led the Generals with 17 points and 14 rebounds, while Sidney Onwubere added 15 points and 15 rebounds.

#UAAP80 Day 15: Fighting Maroons sends UST to 0-8, La Salle survived Tamaraws late charge.

 
 
The UP Fighting Maroons snapped their losing streak after escaping the gritty Growling Tigers of UST71-69.
 
Janjan Jaboneta had 12 points to lead UP followed by Jun Manzo with 11 and Paul Desiderio with 10.
 
Marvin Lee had 17 points to top all the scorers in this game, Jorem Soriano added 14 points and Jordan Sta Ana added 13 markers.

It was a sorry game for the FEU Tamaraws as they lost what could've been the biggest comeback game this season against the DLSU Green Archers after a faulty turnover of Ron Dennison that gave La Salle a 75-73 victory.

The Green Archers commanded well the whole game not giving the Tamaraws to get the lead, though FEU was able to closed it at 63-64, but as much as FEU wanted to complete their comeback costly turnovers hinders it specially in the end game as Ron Dennison commits a costly error that gave away  the game.

Ricci Rivero had 20 markers to lead all the scorers in this game, Ben Mbala had 18 points and 17 rebounds, while Jolo Go had 14 points.

Kenneth Tuffin leads FEU with 14 points, Hubert Cani added 13 markers, while Ron Dennison had 10 points despite the costly turn over that pulls them down 4-4.

Kim Chiu returns on the big screen this November 1 as she stars in another epic horror movie by Direk Chito Rono that was shot all the way from Kathmandu, Nepal, the movie is entitled "The Ghost Bride". The movie tackles ghost marriage from the old Chinese tradition wherein either the family looks for a woman to be the bride to their deceased son to provide them progeny to continue their family line or they need to provide a bride as the spirit of the deceased requested for it or else bad luck and a series of unfortunate events will strike their family's fortune. Those Long Haired Nights or Mga Gabing Kasing Haba Ng Hair Ko premieres at the Busan International Film Festival this coming October 12-21, the movie stars Rocky Salumbides, Matt Daclan, Anthony Falcon, and Mon Confiado, directed by Gerardo Calagui. It will have its Philippine premiere at the QCinema International Film Festival, competing at the RainbowQC section this coming October 19.


Those Long Haired Nights takes us into the world of transexual prostitutes along the red light district of Makati were the three main characters works namely Tuesday, Amanda, and Barbie.

#NCAA93 Day 35: JRU seals final four spot after sending Cardinals crashing down, Arellano puts Golden Stags final four dreams in peril


The Jose RIzal University Heavy Bombers finally barged in to the final four after sending the Mapua Cardinals down 62-58.

Teytey Teodoro led the way for the Heavy Bombers after pouring in 19 points followed by Jed Mendoza with 10 points.

On the side of the Cardinals, Christian Bunag had 10 points and 19 rebounds, Almel Orquina had 14 points, and Cedric Pelayo added 11 points.

The Arellano Chiefs kept their final four hopes alive as they put the chances of San Sebastian in peril after they defeated them in their match that ended at 85-79.

Kent Salldo led the Chiefs with his 22 points, Michael Canete and Levi Dela Cruz added 15 and 10 points respectively to keep them alive.

JM Calma had 12 points and 13 rebounds for the Stags in this game, while Alyn Bulanadi and Regilie Ilagan had 14 points.

#UAAP80 Day 14: NU sends Fighting Maroons on a losing streak, Ateneo sweeps the first round after escaping Green Archers late run.


The National University Bulldogs added to the hoes that the UP Fighting Maroons is experiencing right now, that after they dealt them their third straight loss after their match that ended up at  77-70.

Matt Salem led the Bulldogs with 21 points and 10 rebounds, followed by Issa Gaye with 13 points and Jjay Alejandro with 12 points.

Paul Desiderio is still the leader of the Maroons as he topped the scoring again with 15 points, followed by Diego Dario with 11 points and Javi Gomez De Liano with 10 points.

The Ateneo Blue Eagles swept the elimination round after they outlast their bitter rivals De La Salle Green Archers in their game that went down the wire at 76-75.

Matt Nieto stood up for the Blue shirts after he top scored with 16 points, Anton Assistio provided help after pouring in 14 points, while Jolo Mendoza added up 10 markers.

Ricci Rivero led the Greens with 19 points, Ben Mbala had 18 points and 13 rebounds and Jolo Go had 11 points.

#UAAP80 Day 13: UE ends first round with a win over UST, Tamaraws tramples against Adamson.


The University of the East Red Warriors finally chalked up their first win this season at the expense of teh UST growling Tigers after their grueling battle that ended up at 96-91.

Consistency was the key for the UE in winning this game, taking a 27-20 lead in the opening quarter and doubling their output in the next quarter to end up the first half with a commanding 54-43 lead.

Meanwhile, going to the second half the Growling Tigers started to stage a comeback after outscoring UE to cut the deficit down to 71-75.

In the final period the game went down the wire as UST is within a striking distance and was even able to tie the game at 83, but Alvin Pasaol didn't let the Red Warriors down as he brought them to their first win.

Alvin pasol gives another stellar performance for the Red Warriors after pouring in 32 points and 10 rebounds, Philip Manalang also had his career high 20 points, while Mark Olayon and Jason Varilla added 15 points each.

Steve Akomo's 19 points and 18 rebound performance didn't pushed the Growling Tigers to their first win. Marvin Lee added 20 points, Jordan Sta Ana had 13 points, Enrique Caunan contributed 12 points, and Wendell De Guzman adds up 10.

Inconsistency, that drags the Far Eastern University Down in their match against the Adamson Falcons that ended at 79-95.

The Tamaraws were completely disoriented coming to this game, that gave Adamson the chance to pull away early in the game with a 29-19 lead then finishing the first half at 61-40.

The Soaring Falcons continues to punish the sloppy FEU squad in third period pushing the lead up at 25, the Tamaraws tried to closed in but they were not successful as they struggled to find their rhythm inside the court that gives Adamson the win.

Former Baby Tamaraw, Jerie Pingoy starred in this game after he had his best performance in the collegiate level with 10 points and 10 assists. Jerrick Ahanmisi and Jonathan Espeleta both had 17 points, Papi Sarr added 14 points and 14 rebounds, while Rob Manalang had 11 points.

Jasper Parker led the Tamaraws in this defeat with 12 points, followed by Ron Dennison with 11 markers. FEU finishes the elimination round with a 4-3 record behind Adamson with 5-2.

#NCAA93 Day 34: Red Lions feast on EAC, JRU assured of a play off after beating Golden Stags, Lyceum nears elimination round sweep

 
 
The San Beda Red Lions continues their winning streak after they feasted on the EAC Generals 88-51.

The Red Lions didn't waste anytime as they unleashed an early 26-11 lead in the opening quarter, though they slowed down in the second period that gave EAC the chance to slice the lead down to a 28-40 deficit.

San Beda went on a beast mode again as they kicked off the second half with a huge 20-6 run to finish the third period with a huge 60-34 lead, they even pushed their lead as high as 37 in the final period to seal off their 15th win in 16 outings.

Four Red Lions scored in double digit and two of them had double double, AC Soberano led the scoring with 17 points, followed by Javee Mocon with 15 points and 12 rebounds, Donald Tankoua added another with 12 points and 10 rebounds, lastly Franz Abuda had his best game producing 10 points.

Sidney Onwubere's 22 points didn't pushed the Generals to gain atleast a play off as they bowed out of the final four contention asfter falling down to a 6-10 record.

The Jose Rizal University Heavy Bombers escaped past the San Sebastian Golden Stags 60-58 to secure their hold of the third spot in the final four rankings.

The Heavy Bombers had a good start in this game after taking a 22-17 lead in the opening period and finishing the second half on top 33-30, but going to the second half the Golden Stags started to make a comeback as they started to exchange leads with JRU still taking a slight 46-45 advantage going to the final period.

In the final period the Stags were able to snatch the lead at 58-57 with less than one minute remaining, but the charities and the breaks of the games that the Heavy Bombers had gave them the win.

Ervin Grospe and Jed Mnedoza teamed up for JRU with 14 points each, Teytey Teodoro added 11 points, while Abdel Poutouochi added 10 points and 14 rebounds. The Heavy Bombers are now at 10-6.

Michael Calisaan had 15 points and 13 rebounds for San Sebastian as they go down 7-8, still at 4th spot.

The Lyceum of the Philippines Pirates continues to break record as they move one game away to make them the first win to sweep the 18 elimination game after they dominated the Letran Knights 81-69.

CJ Perez had 24 points for Lyceum, Jesper Ayaay added 12 points, Jayvee Marcelino had 11 points, while Mike Nzeusseu added 11 points and 13 rebounds.

Rey Nambatac led the Knights with his 12 points and 15 rebound performance, while JP Calvo topped the scoring with 15 points and Bong Quinto added 13 points. The Knights still has a chance to make to the final four with an 8-8 record.
